About the Role:
Join the Pita Kitchen team as a Prep Cook, where you'll play a vital role in creating delicious Mediterranean dishes! If you have a passion for food and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients and assist in the cooking process for various menu items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and prep areas.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure quality standards.
- Assist chefs in plating and presentation of dishes.
- Manage inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service.
- Participate in daily kitchen prep and cleaning tasks.
- Adapt to changing menus and special requests with a positive attitude.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and recipes.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Passion for food and commitment to quality service.
